Oh my God… not content with being worth £178 million pounds, now Mr Croc is taking it into clothes….
I so wish I had invented them ( and much to my better judgement allowed my daughter to purchase… but only in the beigey green which I feel on a 12 year old is almost justifiable….) but even I may not have had the nerve to take it into clothes…
Once piece of advice - go steady on the yellow and that turquoisy blue…. and please not menswear…
ooh - there I am saying you need to add more comments on the blog and haven’t done mine yet - well I quite like this Nivea Energy Reviving Cream - it’s quite light and I may argue that I am needing more slap nowadays but actually it makes your skin feel great and possibly I do have a certain glow about me that I haven’t had before.. perhaps by the end of the tube I will be positively neon and boosted into the stratosphere!! Could be fun…
Now just on the blogging note, here are the tips on how to blog on this site as we realise that it doesn’t seem to be as easy as one might think…
So first of all you need to be logged onto the site ie. sign up and then you need to click on where it says comments - then there is a bit that says your name and log out - underneath there is a box where you write your comments in and then just click on submit comment. Think where some of you are going wrong is that you need to sign up to the site first of all…
Shout if any problems…
Until school’s back! Now for the first time in my life, I am almost sad about this fact! There I have been whinging about how much the school fees are and the fact that they are on holiday more than they are at school nowadays but now it’s over, I’m a little miffed… maybe it’s because for the first time in my life I have actually taken some holidays this year which did not see me strapped to the laptop, stressing if I can’t read my emails and generally being on the phone! No, I have actually switched off!
And now having just spent the last few days at the beach and on the river reliving my youth with many an old chum on Frinton beach (it was like deja vu meeting up with all my old friends who are now married with kids and the kids are all doing exactly what we did at 14/15!), I find myself thinking that this is a good thing and I must listen to myself here and say that holidays are good, friends are even more important and life is to be lived and enjoyed to the full! Surely my main aim in life now is to actually buy a beach hut on Frinton Beach and then I too can still be sitting there in 30 years time watching my grandchildren!! Last count, the price was £28k and rising…. who needs a new car when you can have a beach hut!! Mum should never have sold hers….
But back to earth with a bump now - stock to sort, stock to buy and definately stock to sell…
So come on ladies, Christmas will be here before you know it and you don’t want to miss out on the good stuff…
Happy shopping..

Oh my god how much have I eaten this week! Highland living does nothing for your waistline even though I have hiked up many a mountain and fallen down many a ditch! This is not good and have spent all day today in between eating too much again at my neice’s 21st bash reading about Posh only eating lettuce and strawberries and endame and Geri running 10 miles a week and hours of pilates! Even Sporty is at it - dictating some kind of regime that even the most dedicated would shy from..
But hey, in between oxygen reviving myself with the Nivea cream - (got a couple left to give away if you’re quick,) and eating endless strawberries, a new me is in the making! Got a deadline of Sept 6th … cos that is when we hit Paris for the shows and got to be slimmer than I am currently am …. otherwise can’t take the pressure of fabulousness that will surround me! Or remotely get into anything yummy….
So other tips I have picked up from the Sunday glossies… Elle McPherson says scrub everyday and “you can look like me”….. no chance.. Katie Price (still sounds strange) says botox, boob lifts and even vagina tightening…. eeuuggh…. and Tara PT is giving me tips on how to buy a bikini - well that’s rich when you’re 6ft, no boobs and stick thin…
As my father always says…”If God had wanted you to be 6ft, stick thin, straight up and down and holes in your ears, he would have made you that way!”
Thanks Dad - makes me feel so much better….
More as I try….
hello all - still here up the mountain - still no signal, still raining, but we are happy….
talking of mountains, went up a blooming huge one yesterday and no need for Hugh to have no clue on how to get back down again - and just when i planned to abstain from the alcohol, i was forced once again for purely medicinal purposes (ie my legs hurt…) to have a few!
so today took teenagers to the Nessie Museum near Inverness - actually highly worth visiting - but I will now whinge at the distinct lack of gorgeous little boutiqes for buy nice things for my imaginery new house up here! I don’t want to see any more green fluffy Nessie’s or men wearing that stupid tartan cap with the built in orange wig - why….why…. is that funny to everyone???
ok - teenagers now here thinking this is quite funny to write all this nonsense so are now going add their few words…
Heya teenagers here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do people actually read this????
Right - gotta go due to more wine on offer and dinner on table - tomorrow we are going to the Falls - at least they have a Starbucks stylie thing there…
More as we Ness it…
No sadly they don’t have a Loch Fyne restaurant where I am but they probably should! Aaahhh - day three of my Highland Fling and quite frankly I am loving it!
Today has been spent on savouring the local delights of a Spar supermarket in Fort Augustus which could actually give Waitrose a run for it’s money and a quite delightful butchers which is a rare thing in today’s world!
Then spent most of the afternoon rowing across a millpond with such fabulous weather that only we in the highlands were privy to today, interspersed with ducking due to rather over zealous RAF helicopter who decided to train over the Loch and spotted my chum Carrie who is a complete doppelganger for Michelle Pfeifer braving it to go for a swim - little do they know that she actually managed to spectacularly fall out of the rowing boat and completely ruin her new skinny Notify jeans - but she looked a babe in her bikini later on when they decided to swoop like vultures across the pond!! Obviously I was making the tea at the time and they didn’t notice me - so could easily have been me they were swooping for…. yeah right…. my outfits this week have not been something to discuss in public and it will continue to be that way - still not sure I have this country lark sorted for outfits - but the Hunters are serving me well… although I feel I may trade them in for the Hunter Classics - now they are quite cool and a darker green which I am quite liking and a slightly chunkier heel….
Ok husband wants to go home now - I was all for another glass but time to stumble back to the Lodge…
Tomorrow we search for Nessie…
More as I Ness it….xx
Well folks, as I have taken it upon myself to be completely on trend this year and holiday around the British Isles, I am in no position to complain about the weather! Or my choice of locations to visit - currently up a mountain near Ben Nevis looking out of the window to yet more rain!
Highlight of day two on my hols was the trip on the Harry Potter train to Malaig - now gotta say that was fun, absolutely stunning scenery and you even get the Engine Master’s autograph because he actually drove the train in the Harry Potter films! Now that was worth the £41 a head! (I hope they weren’t lying…. he did seem to take an awful long time to autograph each small person’s booklet… you’d think he might have got that down to a tee by now..)
But hey - all this galavanting around the Highlands is good for the skin, I’m getting plenty of fresh air but obviously eating and drinking far too much with our chums - let’s face it, there’s not much else to do! (But gotta watch just how many plates of fish and chips husband seems to be downing… )
Perhaps I am suddenly to decide that the Good Life is for me and de-camp and start rearing chickens and growing my own veg! But surely that’s why Whole Foods is in my life now - they do all that and I just spend stupid amounts of money in there for the pure hell of it most of the time!
One good thing about the Highlands though…. they don’t seem too Croc infested…. guess there’s still time….
More from the sheep and me tomorrow

till the little darlings are back at school….. hurrah!! Site is busy and no time to do everything!!! How much would I love to be in Tuscany sunning my little old self but no…… toiling away trying to make a success!!!!!! Was almost grateful for the rain in a way…. didn’t feel quite like Summer! But it’s back with a vengeance - have just purchased once of those large swimming pool thingys which actually at half price has been worth it’s weight in gold!!! Now if they had any sense, they would have whacked up the price again this week, but not in Wallywood!! So quite frankly, £99 for the whole thing (ladder, chlorine, cover etc etc ) all in is money well spent! Too cold for me tho but teenager loving it!!!
