Oh how we love Mary Poppins and even as we write this we are marching around the kitchen singing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious….impressed we can spell it aren’t you…..

So it is with huge pomp and circumstance that we announce that Mary Poppins is 45 years old on Monday and to celebrate there is a 45th Anniversary Edition out on DVD and I feel the need to purchase ….

Haven’t you always just wanted to click your fingers and all the clothes off that bedroom chair just hang themselves back up and all your bags and shoes just line up and hang in an organised fashion???  And I bet you’ve sung Feed the birds when you’re feeding the ducks…. or was that just me??

And with a ton of exposure coming up in the next week or so, don’t be surprised to see carpet bags making a comeback now……and if your bag is anything like mine, the amount of stuff that comes out of my bag looking for something everyday is very reminiscent of a certain scene….

Having just returned from a splendid few days in Cornwall with husband and chums(teenager skiing - last seen or heard of last Saturday…..) I feel the need to discuss whether finally I have come up with an idea for making my millions…

Sitting in the pub earlier today in Mevagissey, (feel like that’s all I’ve been doing but there you go!), we were discussing at length the merits of the men’s tankards that were all hanging up above the bar and how some of those men whose tankards were there were probably no longer with us and was it actually nice to drink out of a pewter tankard blah blah…..

Anyway in the politically correct world that we now live in, I asked the question as to why women don’t have a tankard or in my case it would be a wine glass hanging above the bar with my name on it…. is that such a bad idea….should we start selling them????? Obviously as we wouldn’t know everybody’s name, there would be an engraving element to the purchase allowing that individuality…. is that desperate, have I lost the plot and was it ultimately the wine talking….

7.  A winning Lottery ticket - let’s face it… that only costs £1 so that’s cheap and cheerful and just imagine….

Well we are just sitting here reading about Rumpology… yes the study of your rear that can reveal your fate, personality and how lucky you are in love…

Apparently it’s most famous practitioner is Jackie Stallone…is that a good thing????? But it seems as though there is some kudos to it with more and more people asking about how they’ll cope in their careers and with money.

So for £90 a session (tough if you don’t have any anyway but there you go…)  you can see Sam Amos who will pontificate on your derriere (and you can keep your clothes on!)  and give you the full medical once over based on your palm reading of your bottom!

Oh we love a song lyric…. except now am a bit bored of the snow - don’t wish to be bah humbug about it all but honestly it’s an outfit trauma every morning and this morning actually resulted in my wearing my moon boots… now I know I said bring them back a few days ago, but I didn’t really mean it and certainly didn’t think I would be trawling through the slush in them…

But…. I have to say they are simply quite the best invention - keep you warm, actually give you a bit of height which is great as have been sporting them today with  my skinnies and I feel a little longer in the leg in these than the old welly boot…perhaps not quite as fetching as my Hunters but actually I thought I looked quite groovy…

Maybe I need to get out more…in fact I know I need to get out more…

Still waiting for the Celcius…..hope you’re all out buying the album….
