Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves doing this job!!! Because just occasionally things land on our desk that we get so excited about, it’s almost gang warfare in the office fighting over who gets to trial and keep!!

Oh my goodnesss…. I love macaroons and I love Laduree macaroons even more… but now I love them even more - just when I thought the packaging couldn’t get any better, up rocks Christian Louboutin and now we have a glorious food meets fashion fusion of fabulousness….think that sums it up!! Heaven!!!
Well August is just a horrid month - the shops are bursting with new season but the teenager is STILL off school and you’ve still got 4 weeks to go of “What are we doing today” and “Can I have a tenner to meet the girls in Starbucks”….what happened to entertaining yourselves or reading a good book…..so no time to shop but have found time to gaze wantingly at Anya Hindmarch and Marni and then tell myself that times are tougher and we may just have to settle for a lookylikee….
Which means I have decided to attempt to cut more dash than cash and having trolleyed around M&S yesterday have actually come up with a few goodies… Now we don’t suggest you wear these as per the pics - the bag is fab and much better in real life and will give Anya a run for her money, the dress looks great worn with just the Vivienne Westwood stylee check jacket from this suit (forget the skirt), the necklace glams up a plain white tee, the scarf for dressing up the dress down look and the pumps for that “I really want Roger Vivier but will settle for these for everyday…..”
Sir Stuart….you may finally be onto something…..all you need to do now is lose that sea of green pea dirge that is Per Una and you’re sorted…..in fact I really think you need me in some of those board room meetings….I’ll tell you how it is…..(actually always wanted to be a buyer for M&S food when I was at college but just wanted to go straight to it….didn’t fancy having to cook in the canteen for 10 years before I got there…..!!)xxx
When will it stop………….only this morning, the sun shone through my bedroom window and up I jumped (well crawled….late night….) and insisted I would look fabulous today in a coral sundress and my gorgeous corally flipflops (bit matchy but not really…) and floated off to the office as a vision in coral….and then just as I am loaded up with packages agogo to mail out, the heavens open once again and the vision is now more of a blur through the rain….and matchy flipflops with leather soles are no more….and the hair…………well……..
So it’s a good job we have bought some fabulous umbrellas for What a Girl Needs which will be on the site early September….gorgeous colours and designs and perfect size for your tote!! But the fact that we have got to wait for them just means that obviously it can’t rain any more now in August and then we’ll be fine!!!
And with today’s news that women will get caught out by the weather in an inappropriate outfit at least 4 times a month, something needs to be done!! (who works out this stuff!!!) but you know you’ve been that person…..and with me I’d say it’s more than 4 a month….
So roll on September (not only for the umbrellas but the kids going back to school…..!!)
