So it’s half term and in order for teenager to justify her existence, I have allowed her the fabulous honour of today’s blog…well it kept her busy for half an hour anyway!
So in anticipation of our trip to Westfield on Friday along with every other teenager queuing up outside Hollister, here is this week’s Teenager Trends:
1. She would actually like a copy of the Teen Vogue Hand Book

Essential for any aspiring fashionista!!
2. Emma Watson’s wardrobe - teenage view is that she is fashion forward!!

3. Now this is cool -Comme des Garcons Play For Converse Sneakers

Anyone going to NY, please purchase in size 5!
4. The Peace Sign Slippers from Victoria’s Secrets - will ship to UK now!!

5. Conditions - by The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition is still fab…..

And there you have it - life from The Teenager as she knows it today!!
xxxx
Ok - today we are allowing ourselves to be completely self indulgent with our list of needs this week and so regardless of whether we can afford any of the following items, who cares - we want it and we want it now….(not going to get it though……probably….maybe…one of them…..)
1. The Leopard Print coat as worn by Kate Moss in the Longchamp Ad - the only print coat to have this season….everyone else a poor lookalikeee…. (this won’t be what I get sadly …unless I win the Lottery….)
2. Really really want the Victoria bag from Chloe …. so much so I might have to enter the Grazia Goodie Bag Giveaway this week because they are giving one away…in fact I would like everything in that Goodie Bag this week (the red wallet suits my Red week that I am having…)
3. Really like the silk pyjamas from Kate Moss’s collection being launched at Top Shop this Thursday - see there she is again….might be this week’s obsession actually cos she looks great in those pics…
4. Ok he hasn’t produced it yet, but I know he’s thinking of me when he’s coming up with designs and I know I will want the entire collection in 2010 from Mr Tom Ford….
5. A box of cupcakes from Primrose Bakery….ok will probably get that and I know it will make me happy…
P.S Happy 1st Birthday to Westfield - we’re very happy you came into the world xxx
Oh my gosh the party season is looming and we’re not ready!! Not that we’re ever going to be ready - I mean the list is endless of what needs doing from making the cake to squeezing into many a sparkly outfit that we should all be wearing but probably will still be out in our jeans!!
But one thing if we would like to do (although certainly not the cheapest !!!!) is to indulge in a little non invasive procedure being launched imminently called Thermage CPT ™ System. Performed by the fabulous Dr Rita Rakus in her Knightsbridge surgery (call 0207 460 7234 for a consultation!!), this is a significant leap forward in skin tightening and body contouring technology utilizing Comfort Pulse Technology to get skin back to its healthy and youthful appearance!
The new Thermage CPT System has an improved, more uniform heating action that causes the structures in the skin and underlying tissue to immediately help tighten while stimulating collagen growth. Over time, new and remodelled collagen is produced to further tighten and contour skin!
And with no prep needed beforehand and no special care after treatment, bar a little minor swelling or redness in the initial 24 hours, bring it on we say!!!
And the results are often immediate and obviously improve over time and even though it costs way more than your average treatment for looking younger, most Thermage patients benefit for a single treatment rather than having to have four or five sessions! And can last for years!
Now work that out for value for money…..in our twisted way we figure value per wear equals looking fab all the time and that’s money well spent!!……
Happy Thermage….xx
Today we have decided to change the habit of a lifetime and start wearing Red clothes…
Now not sure what has started this trend but in last few days of doing not very much I have found myself catching up on the sofa with many a magazine and now find myself lusting after various items which just happen to be Red! And I think I can do it… it’s time to break out of the sea of beige and black that has dominated my life for so long!
So this week’s purchases may well go along the lines of:
1. Red suede ankle boots by See by Chloe
2. Red Jersey Jacket by Love Moschino
3. Good old fashioned Red School Satchel from www.cambridgesatchel.co.uk
4. A gorgeous Red cotton Duffel Coat from www.marksandspencer.com
5. And finally there is a piece of Cherry Pie in my fridge with my name on it…
Well it would be rude not to… xxx
Well we have already sampled the delights of the new Jil Sander range for Uniqlo and am currently loving my black overcoat! Collar up, off I go…could almost be mistaken for the girl in the ad….(on a dark night with no lights and perhaps if you had forgot your glasses….) but hey!
So we are now officially obsessed with anything Uniqlo and today’s shopping spree has sent us into a tail spin with the purchase of not one but two pairs of their 3D Fit Skinny jeans! What a fit…forget J Brand, James or anyone else who makes jeans with a name that begins with J….(even though these aren’t Jil Sander). we are loving these babies!!
And joy of joy, the most fabulous news of the day is they are now only £19.99!!!
Now that is a good fit….xxx
Well as we technically do live in the country, we thought it was time to spread some country fashion … it’s even prompted me to get the Ralph Lauren jacket with patches this morning ….. and who better to do that than the lovelies from Moloh!
We’ve just been sent their new Autumn collection and decided that we love it…and whilst we won’t ever quite go as far as full on twinset and tweeds, this collection is actually bordering on Groovy Country…perhaps that’s what we’ll call it!
So to give you a taster, here are our favourite pieces from the collection - all available from www.moloh.com

And whilst you’re there, check out the boots in the sale! Well worth a little shop we think…. and don’t forget they have two lovely shops in Tetbury and now Pimlico if your’re passing!!!!
Happy Shopping….

Just when I vowed I would never sound like my mother, I said something to send teenager into meltdown!! And how!!! Along the lines of “you’re not going out with makeup like that!” comes to mind …..
So imagine my joy when a gorgeous book arrives in the office called Be Beautiful by Alice Hart Davis and her daughter Molly Hindhaugh. I work on the theory that because teenager has the same name as the teenager who wrote this book, we might be able to claw our way back to some modicam of sense and sit down together and have some fun!

And that is what this book is all about!! Why should she listen to me about exfoliating, how to put mascara on, plucking your eyebrows….when all she really wants to do is hear it from someone who knows what they’re talking about!!! Obviously!!!….
But not only does it do all that, there’s a great section about Green products, taking care of your skin when in the sun and putting fake tan on properly!
So whilst I am sure I will continue to moan and groan, maybe she’ll secretly think actually Mum was right but obviously can’t ever admit it to me!
Buy it…could be the answer to all your tantrums… sorry I meant hers!!!!…..
It’s time…to let my secret out…but once I have, I might have to do something drastic and you certainly should delete this information…because until today I believe this has been Top Secret - For My Nose only….
So here we go… the greatest fragrances the world knows today…(well one of them and then the rest we have been trying and actually quite like….)
So in at:
1. Joseph (4 me…..)…I have worn this for 20 years and nothing, I am telling you nothing!!! is ever going to change me…I love this perfume and I have worn nothing else ever (well only when they stopped making it for a few months and I saw Joseph Ettedgui in a restaurant and took it upon myself to interrupt his lunch and demand to know why ….”Don’t worry darling ( I don’t know him…) we are just changing the packaging!!”…I always have at least 4 bottles in the drawer just in case…
2. Once, after a lubricated lunch I found myself in Hermes smelling the latest perfumes and would slightly admit to liking their Hermessence Osmanthe Yunnan… and indeed purchased and now this might be a second favourite should JE retire….
3. Always good to know that if in doubt, give it a name that says what it does on the tin… (or bottle)…ie. we are actually liking A Scent by Issey Miyake…
4. Jo Malone - technically I consider anything by Jo Malone to be more interior related than personal fragrance but let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with Lime Basil and Mandarin.. in fact we love it…
5. Lastly, but not leastly, we’d like to give a round of applause to Liz Earle Botantical Essence Eau de Parfum No 1…delightfully fresh and floral….
May your nose always be fragrant….xxx
THE GREAT QUESTION
THAT HAS NEVER BEEN
ANSWERED, AND WHICH I
HAVE NOT YET BEEN ABLE
TO ANSWER, DESPITE MY
THIRTY YEARS OF

FEMININE SOUL, IS
“WHAT DOES A WOMAN
WANT?”
Sigmund Freud

Well it’s that time of year again – just when you thought the bikini was hung out to dry, the lily white body could be hidden (except for the tan area around your face and neck where St Tropez continues to work overtime…), the magazines tell you it’s time to get in shape for the forthcoming party season!
And let’s face it, fashion isn’t helping the bulge this season with pencil skirts, treggings and leggings – we might as well call it the Cling On Season – it’s about as attractive!! Thank god for the long sweater….
So what better way to fight the bulge than to blind you with science and offer our thoughts on how to do away with the Muffin…..
Here we go then:
The 3 Hour Diet
We are loving the sound of this – even we can do 3 hours of behaving ourselves to pursue svelteness! But of course, there’s no such thing as a free meal….
What’s the Score….
If you want a diet that includes munching on a Mini Snickers Bar and has no “bad” foods, the three-hour diet is the plan for you.
Jorge Cruise, fitness journalist and author of The 3-Hour Diet: How Low-Carb Diets Make You Fat and Timing Makes You Thin, believes so strongly in his plan that he actually encourages readers to enjoy sweets. Every day..
But the true keys to Cruise’s diet — other than portion control (he recommends chocolate minis, not whole bars) — involve a trinity of timing:
- Eat breakfast within one hour of rising
- Eat every three hours thereafter
- Stop eating three hours before bedtime
Cruise is a passionate believer that eating this way increases BMR (baseline metabolic rate — how fast your body burns calories), increases energy, and decreases appetite.
But at the end of the day girls, remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to quote Elizabeth Taylor:
“I DON’T THINK I AM A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. AVA GARDNER IS. I THINK AUDREY HEPBURN IS. BUT THE WAY I LOOK IS ALL RIGHT WITH ME. BECAUSE I WANT TO BE ME. I DON’T TAKE VITAMINS OR DO EXERCISE. I CAN LOSE WEIGHT WHEN I WANT TO, MAINLY BY JUST NOT EATING”.
