There’s an Angel…..you know we love a lyric….but right now I wish there was an Angel…it’s 27th of January and this very fortunate girl ie. moi, has just been told she shall go to the Ball - in other words, I shall be going to the Brits again this year!

Now in my time, (and I don’t wish to blag…but I guess I am) I have been to a lot of Brit Awards - some years I have been working on them so the pressure of an outfit comes down to Converse sneakers, a big thick coat cos it always snows and they don’t turn the heating on anywhere till show time and hair looking like you’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards!

But in the latter years when I haven’t had to run around like a loon the pressure remains as bad as ever in what to wear…but this year there’s another one to contend with…how can I lose enough weight to get in to a frock I haven’t bought yet but know I will but not until I’ve shifted a good few pounds!

Now you’re gonna say …exercise like a maniac, don’t eat bread, potatoes, carbs, sugar, dairy, meat, and don’t drink…well the downside of that is 1 you are hungry, 2 you are no fun, 3 there’s mutiny in the family due to no food on the table and 4 quite frankly it’s never going to happen!

So perhaps with our old friend Robbie winning the big prize this year, that Angel he keeps singing about will come down and cast her magic wand (or be armed with Magic knickers!|) and all will well!

Failing that, I’ll just have to buy a tent dress…let’s get the Elle Guide to what’s in this season (Feb issue) and trawl till I find one! Budget obviously tossed aside in this instance and switch off when Husband insists I do not need to purchase as I have a wardrobe full!!!

Well folks it’s Official… we are bored with the snow!  Don’t want to be Bah Humbug about it all but it’s too much now… I am not in a chalet with a gorgeous ski instructor or drinking a nice hot toddy and my bloomin…..heating has packed up in the office which equally does not embrace me to the snow!
